London London Blog launches organic wine tastings for the Tech Community sponsored by AEOS

London London Blog (LLB) launches officially during London Fashion Week and announces its Fall 2014 wine tastings geared to tech entrepreneurs in the fashion, food, and wine sectors.

Startups in the three sectors have gained traction in the last couple of years, with social sharing driving much of its growth. There is real appetite by investors and entrepreneurs alike to steer innovation, be it in direct to consumer e-commerce, image recognition software for spotting street  fashion trends, or  distribution and logistics for the food and wine sectors.

“In July the food tech sector alone saw investments in the order of $740m, and a third of this capital was for companies based outside of the US, with almost half of the funding going to seed stage companies.”, said Maya Plentz, Editor-in-Chief of the London London Blog.

“So it makes perfect sense that LLB launches in partnership with the new shopping website haveyouseen.com.” The community driven social shopping website will allow customers to not only shop and add great products, but also be rewarded for sharing with others. The site already has the backing of more than 3,000 big-name retailers,  including Body Shop, with more joining every day.

LLB editorial focuses on organic products and its sponsors for the launch are the organic winery from Tuscany La Salceta, and the British organic skincare AEOS.  Tuscany is a land of history and tradition where expanses of vineyards and olive groves alternate with stone farmhouses.  La Salceta sits in this triangle, between Florence, Siena and Arezzo, surrounded by the mountain range of Pratomagno and the Chianti hills, where we find the Valdarno, an area recognized by its excellence since 1716 by the Cosimo III de’ Medici.  La Salceta has been fully renovated to integrate sustainable development methods in farming and wine production.

La Salceta owner, Ettore Ciancico, who will introduce the wines at the launch, is known for his commitment to sustainable development in the region, as an advisor to the Federazione Italiana  dei Vignaioli Indipendenti (FIVI). Ettore was one of the founders of the Val d’Arno di Sopra DOC, which aims to protect and promote the quality of the wines produced in Val d’Arno. He has strived to respect the ecosystem in his farm:  “The old saying goes ‘Learn the art and put it aside’ and that is how we have applied our knowledge to promote agricultural activity that respects the ecosystem, avoiding over-exploitation of natural resources.”

AEOS has developed a line of skin care of unsurpassed quality and has been gaining a following among the fashion set, as they look increasingly to purchase products that are as good for the environment as they are good for the one’s health and skin. LadyCPR represents them worldwide and will provide gifts to guests of travel size sets of AEOS facial line, London Fashion Week essentials, perfect for the handbag while shuttling between the fashion shows.

At the launch event two award-winning wines will be sampled: the Ruschieto, Valdarno di Sopra DOC, 2011, vigna Ruschieto, a crù 100% Sangiovese  grapes,  and the Rosato, Valdarno di Sopra DOC, 2012, grapes Merlot, Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc.  La Salceta wines can be purchased online through Vini Sette Ponti Importers website at http://www.vinisetteponti.co.uk
